Poetry Professor
The learner working to achieve this badge needs to know different sources of high quality poems and how to analyze a poem for diverse literary elements including figurative language, tone, theme, speaker, imagery, audience, etc. The learner also needs to tackle complex leadership skills including how to create high-level and engaging questions and then how to lead his or her peers in a high-quality and textually grounded conversation about the selected text. Finally, the learner must also be able to take on the creation of an innovative writing activity to share and lead with peers and how to facilitate respectful sharing of written work by students.
