Description:

100 Level - No experience necessary

In this XP we are going to develop your brand as a designer by creating your slogan and choosing a typeface.

1st, your slogan. What slogans do you know off the top of your head? What others can you find online? Once you've read over some existing slogans, start brainstorming your own. Remember, this shouldn't be really wordy, just send a message about the mood and attitude of your work.

2nd, your typeface. This may seem trivial, but this is a big deal to designers. Pick up one of your favorite magazines or visit a favorite websites. Look at the type. Is it bold or thin? Is it script? Is it serif or sans serif? Then look at a text book or a newspaper, what's different? Now it's your turn. You can design your own type by hand, or find what's already out there. If you have word processing software there will be options there, and thousands more online.

Let's get to it!

What you'll need: Pencil, paper, pens, colors of your choice or computer or tablet with word processing software.

What You Need To Do: Submit a photograph or a file of your slogan written in your typeface or font. Be creative! You're a designer!
