July 2023 SOARS Camp-West Dallas

Creating creators with Dallas City of Learning and The Writer's Garret. Includes breakfast: 8:30 am-9 am. Pick up happens: 3 pm -3:30 pm. Dallas Soars Camp is a three-week learning adventure where young creators, ages 6- 12, will ignite their imaginations through visual, written, and musical activities. Campers at The West Dallas Multipurpose Center will discover engineering design with visitors from the Perot Museum and explore dance as a cultural expression. Plus, the first two Fridays include field trips where they will get to explore the city, riding the DART Light Rail to visit locations including the Children’s Aquarium, the Dallas Museum of Art, and more. The final Friday is a showcase day where campers demonstrate what they have learned.

Soars camps are a great opportunity for making new friends and developing social/emotional learning skills. Taught by artists, authors and designers, Dallas Soars Camps provide fun, safe and enlightening summer activities for the creators of the future.
