​Epic Magnetic Levitation (The Floating Pencil)

Magnetic Levitation:

Make a working model of Floating Levitating Pencil by arranging magnets. It will help kids to learn the basics of magnetism, attraction, and repulsion, and discuss applications of magnetic levitation. They'll learn to manipulate magnetic forces to control the movement. I will provide small, strong magnets (like a neodymium magnet) to each student. Then I will show them how to use the repelling force between two magnets to make a pencil "levitate" above them. This demonstrates the principle of magnetic repulsion.
