2019 Summer Theatre & Cultural Enrichment Camp Unplugged

Bishop Arts Theatre Center summer camp is unique among arts education programs offered by other arts institutions because for eight weeks we teach five disciplines: music, art, dance, theatre and life skills such as eco-arts, anti-bullying and financial literacy workshops. We also believe partnerships makes us stronger and we collaborate with select community organizations such as the Dallas Public Library, The Family Place, Agri-Life Extension and Frost Bank. In most places, the voices of today’s youth are not heard beyond the limits of their peers; BATC’s student summer camp programs is not one of them. Tuition for camp is $75 per week. Scholarships are available for every student. Breakfast, lunch, and a snack is served daily. The current demographics for our summer theater camp students are made up of 42% African American, 39% Hispanic, and 19% Anglo. The summer experience ends with a culminating showcase.
