Coding Websites: Website Development Courses with Bold Idea @ Home

Bold Idea

Turn online learning into online creating this fall! Each of our coding courses combines hands-on learning in a computer programming language with support from mentors who work in a technology field.

Bold idea will be offering two courses in website development this fall:

Intro to Website Development

From visiting websites to coding them. In this course, students in 4th to 12th grades will learn how to create websites and publish them on the Web. The program combines hands-on learning in web programming languages HTML and CSS with support from mentors who work in a technology field. Their first project is a website for a small business. No prior coding experience required.

Website Development Creative Project

For students who have completed the intro to website development course. With the help of a technology mentor, students will advance their knowledge on front-end website development while building a custom website on any topic. In addition to coding skills, they will also learn professional project management skills, including ideation, prototyping, project planning, project scoping, and iterative development.

Technology Requirements: Desktop or Laptop computer with Google Chrome installed and a broadband internet connection. No tablets or phones please.
