UNT Dallas Upward Bound

University of North Texas - Upward Bound

The Upward Bound Program at UNT Dallas is a federally funded program through the department of education that focuses on providing college access workshops, academic support, financial literacy, college advising, and cultural awareness. We serve high school students from Dallas ISD and Lancaster ISD, which include South Oak Cliff HS, Gilliam Collegiate Academy, Sunset, Seagoville, Lincoln and Lancaster HS. Most of our students come from disadvantaged households, marginalized communities and come from families where neither parents hold a post-secondary degree. Our mission is to Develop Students’ Academic, Emotional, Ethical, Physical and Social Skills for Transformational Impact in Life, School and Leadership.
