Coding Games: Python Game Development with Bold Idea @ Home

Turn online learning into online creating with Bold Idea this fall! Each of our coding courses combines hands-on learning in a computer programming language with support from mentors who work in a technology field.

Bold Idea will be offering two courses on python game development this fall:

Intro to Python Game Development:

From playing games to coding them. In this course, students in 5th to 12th grades will learn how to create 2D video games they can share with friends. The program combines hands-on learning in the Python computer programming language with support from mentors who work in a technology field. Their first project is the classic arcade game, Breakout. No prior coding experience is required.

Python Game Development Creative Project:

For students who have completed the intro to python course. With the help of a technology mentor, students will Level Up their Python game development skills. During the course, students will build a game from their own ideas. In addition to coding skills, they will also learn professional project management skills, including ideation, prototyping, project planning, project scoping, and iterative development.

Technology Requirements: Desktop or Laptop computer with Google Chrome installed and a broadband internet connection. No tablets or phones please.
